Application
Isopad IMI-KMCN is a preterminated, mineral insulated heating cable with a copper nickel alloy metal sheath.
At heating conductor temperatures up to 400°C, the cable is mainly used for pipe trace heating and container heating in the medium temperature range such as in heavy-fuel burner lines, silo heating, and defrosting lines on deep freeze equipment.
The heating cable is watertight and can be used under both high pressure and vacuum conditions. In most cases, the chemical resistance of the copper nickel sheath is similar to that of copper and is also highly resistant to sea water.
