Application
The Isopad ICon-T26000 temperature controllers have an integrated limiter for control of electric heating devices in industrial and commercial applications. Precise temperature control is realized by the PID function. A starting device reduces temperature overshoot during the start-up phase. The temperature scale and system status (using different LED's) are shown on the front panel. The controller is connected to power supply, sensor and heating system via internal termination blocks and special entry glands. The switching temperature and limit temperature are set manually via two seperate knobs, which are covered by the lid for a maximum of protection during operation. To adjust the setpoint the lid has to be removed. This can be done without de-energizing the unit.
The limiter function can be used as a lock-out where the heating circuit is turned off in case of reachig the limit temperature and a manual reset is needed, or as a temperature guard where the unit does an auto-reset when the temperature comes below the limit temperature.
